About Tripler Army Medical Center

Tripler Army Medical Center offers the best healthcare available to almost 800,000 eligible people. With more than 200 hospital beds, Tripler Army Medical Center is the largest military medical treatment facility in the entire Pacific Basin.

Tripler is also a major teaching hospital that provides graduate education programs in medicine, general surgery, otolaryngology, othopedic surgery, psychiatry, pediatrics, OB/GYN, radiology, pathology, urology, oral surgery, and hospital administration. Tripler also administers and supervises affiliation programs with accredited universities, to include the University of Hawaii, in numerous clinical specialties. The hospital is voluntarily accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JACHO).

Recruiting in the following areas:

Nursing Department:

RN: Nurses provide direct nursing service in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care in hospitals, clinics or other patient care facilities. Special advance nursing skills are required in specialty nursing positions.

LPN: Serves as practical nurse in one of several areas of Medical Treatment Facilities. Responsible for a variety of treatment procedures and the provision of nursing care to patients of all ages who are scheduled for treatment of illness, minor surgical procedures, preventive health care, and or/re and post operative care.

NA: Performs nursing care and other personal services to patients whose conditions can vary widely from those requiring normal nursing care to those requiring close observation. Subject to work in rotating shifts and may function in a variety of patient care settings on short notice.

CRNA: Anesthetist Nurse-Administers anesthetic agents. Must possess professional knowledge and training in anesthesia. Must demonstrate current competence (within the past two years), to be granted clinical privileges.

Radiology Department:

Radiology Tech (CT): Knowledge of computerized axial tomography(computerized tomography experience, knowledge of basic nursing skills, knowledge of operating CAT Scan equipment.

Radiology Tech (MRI): Knowledge of magnetic resonance imaging, skills in oral communication, knowledge of MRI physics and equipment. Understanding of how to demonstrate pathology effectively.

Nuclear Medicine Tech: Pharmaceutical preparation and administration, imaging procedures, instrumentation, knowledge of nuclear medicine technology, knowledge and ability to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, knowledge of single photon emission computed tomography, knowledge of radiation procedures.

Walk-ins: Tuesday and Thursdays 10:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Location: Resource Management Division, Room 2-C100, E-Wing (also known as the VA wing).
